Did you know your pets have rights too?

There is a link between animal abuse and domestic violence. People who abuse animals are five times more likely to commit violent crimes against people. It is estimated that 88% of pets living in an abusive household will be abused or killed.

Animal abuse is often one of the first signs of a family in trouble. Veterinarians are starting to play a larger role in reporting abuse of all kinds.

Just remember when animals are abused, people are at risk and when people are abused, animals are in danger.
