"Pillow Pal" Project

The members of the SML-LQG are busy, busy, busy! Recently they invited me to speak at one of their regular workshop days. It was amazing to see how many ladies are committed to making a child or woman’s stay in our shelter a little more comforting. They sew with loving care, creating pillow pals and donating for us to place on the beds. When a new family comes to stay with us, they are told the pillow pal is theirs to keep and are given one for each family member. The little ones tend to hold onto them tightly and even carry them around from room to room. When it comes time for the family to leave, their pillow pals go with them. This is just one of the many creations they donate. They also make and donate pillow bears, pillow cases and quilts of all sizes! I enjoyed my visit and hope you will enjoy the pictures below of the beautiful ladies quilters doing their thing.
