Waid Recreation Area

Waid Recreation Area is open daily and home to some great trout fishing, thrilling canoe trips,beautiful walking trails, exciting ball games, and adventurous bike riding.

Waid Park is located off Six Mile Post Road in Rocky Mount, Virginia. This Park offers seven miles of Walking, Biking, & Equestrian Trails, Baseball and Softball Fields, Soccer Fields, Pigg River Fishing and Canoeing, Playgrounds, and Picnic Shelters. There is a walking track 0.85 of a mile long at the soccer fields. The Picnic Shelters are located near playground equipment and have restrooms and grills. This Park is nestled near the Pigg River and is home to some fun river activities.
